We have several Gateway PC's (4100) series with an onboard network interface (Marvell Yukon 88E8050 PCI -E ASF Gigabit Ethernet Controller, version 8.39.3.3. When users shutdown their computers at night they find them "on" in the morning. The only fix we have found is to disable "WOL". We want to be able to keep "WOL" enabled but still be able to power off the computer.
What have you found to be the best NIC (Network Interface) with little known issues that works well with Wake-On-LanSMS?
Have you heard of any isses with the above network interface controllers?
Any assistance you may provide would be most helpful.
Thanks,
Peggy Phister
